Navratri food - Kadai paneer





Ingredients:

200g paneer (cottage cheese) cut into cubes
4 tomatoes (De-seed two of them and cut into small cubes), and two puree
3-4 cloves
1” cinnamon stick (dal chinni)
2-3 green cardamom (Elachi)
1 tsp cumin seed (jeera)
1 tsp Ginger paste

½ tsp turmeric powder (optional, if you eat in navratris )
2 green chillies slit
Red chilly powder according to taste
Sendha namak(Rock salt) according to taste

Method:
Dry roast the cloves, cinnamon stick, cumin seeds,and cardamoms. Remove from pan and allow to cool and grind them with 2 tomatoes.

In a pan heat oil and add the ginger paste and slit green chillies.
Saute it and add puree tomatoes.
Saute it for 2 -3 minutes till tomatoes are cooked and add rock salt, red chilly powder , turmeric powder and ½ cup of water.
Drop the paneer pieces and de-seeded chopped tomatoes to it and let it cook on low flame for around 5 minutes.
Serve hot with kuttu roti or puri.
