Sweet n sour mango chutney


4 cups raw mangoes(peeled and grated)

1cup sugar

70 to 100 gm jaggery(depending on mangoes and how sweet you want)

Salt to taste

1 ½ tsp black pepper

1tsp red chilly(adjust according to taste)

1tsp freshly roasted cumin seed powder


In a pan add grated mangoes, sugar and jaggery(you can use only sugar also or only jaggery also).

Let it cook till mangoes turn soft, keep stirring them. You can check by pressing mango in between your fingers.

It will change the color also to golden brown.

Once mangoes are cooked , add the spices and mix well. Let it cook for another 5 to 7 minutes.

Taste the chutney and adjust the spices according to your taste.

Let it cool down and store in air tight container in refrigerator.
