Almond cookies



Ingredients:


1 cup wheat flour

½ cup powdered sugar

½ cup(4 OZ) butter(room temperature)

½ cup chopped almonds

¼ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

Few almonds for garnishing

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven on 350f.

  2. In a mixing bowl add butter and sugar and beat them with spatula or spoon till smooth.


  1. In a separate bowl mix all dry ingredients like flour, chopped almonds, salt and baking soda. Now slowly slowly put dry ingredients mixture into butter. At last with help of hands make a dough kind of thing.

  2. Cover it nicely in cling foil and let it rest for 10 minutes.









  1. Grease the baking tray and make small rounds out of the dough. I was able to make around 20 balls. Make sure there is enough space (1 inch at least)between all the cookies as they will raise and flatten from all the sides.






  1. Than take the almonds and place it in center of your cookies.




  1. Place your baking tray in preheated oven .It will take around 16 to 18 minutes on 350 f depending upon oven to oven.

  2. It took me around 18 minutes to bake. Take out your cookies . Let it cool down for 15 minutes and serve with a cup of tea or coffee.

  3. You can store them in air tight container after they cool down for around 10 days.
