Hakka Noodles



Ingredients


Veg Hakka Noodles 1 Packet ( I used Ching's Hakka Veg noodles)

3-4 cloves of garlic chopped
1 yellow onion thinly sliced

1 cup cabbage

2 medium size capsicum sliced

1-2 carrots thinly sliced

Chilli Sauce – 1 tbsp
Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp
Vinegar – 1/2 tsp
Tomato Sauce -2tbsp

½ tsp black pepper powder

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil

fresh chopped green spring onions












Method:


  1. In a pan add 4-5 cups of water. Add 1tbsp oil and ½ tsp of salt. Once the water comes to boil, Add 1 packet of Hakka noodles to boiling water. Make sure you break down the noodles. Boil it for 3-4 minutes. Drain the noodles and pour some running water over the noodles and drain again.

  2. Heat oil in a wok and fry the finely sliced onions and garlic for about 1 minute.

  3. Than saute all the vegetables in this for 2-3 minutes on high flame,so that vegetables remain crisp from out and juicy from inside.


  1. Add chilli sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper and salt to taste(be careful while adding salt, as all sauces have salt in them).Stir them nicely and add the boiled noodles to it.

  2. Stir well until all the vegetables get blended well with the noodles. Garnish with fresh green spring onions and serve.
